Welcome

The European Conference on Neutron Scattering (ECNS) is organized every four years as a forum for the European neutron scattering community to discuss recent developments and advances in all branches of science in which neutron scattering is used.  An equally important aim of the conference is to serve as a platform for discussion and exchange among those who develop neutron scattering techniques. The Sixth European Conference on Neutron Scattering in Zaragoza, Spain, will build on the success of previous meetings held in Interlaken (1996), Budapest (1999), Montpellier (2003), Lund (2007), and Prague (2011).

Since Spain joined the ILL as its first Scientific Member in 1987, the Spanish neutron scattering community has blossomed to more than 300 members from throughout Spain, although there is a concentration of neutron users in universities and CSIC Research Centers in the northern part of the country. Their activities cover the full range of neutron applications, with emphasis on condensed matter physics, soft matter, materials science and crystallography.

ECNS 2015 will present plenary lectures by leading scientists, plus invited talks and poster presentations. There will be parallel symposia covering frontier scientific areas.

The city and the meeting venue will provide an ideal backdrop for scientific discussion, and the organizers are working to organize an event optimized for interaction and interchange.

We hope that you will join us in Zaragoza for ECNS 2015.  Your active participation is the key to the continued success of ECNS!

We look forward to welcoming you to Zaragoza for the VI European Conference on Neutron Scattering, 2015.

Welcome!
